The hike here was one of the most beautiful hikes so far. Lots of gain and descent, but worth every step. A forest of heavy moss covered trees, mist over the valleys, fog, it had it all. Then you get to Sarria, wind your way through town, and find six flights of steps between you and your bed for the night. The Camino has a twisted sense of humor.
Hope all of that training you did paid off. Your pictures are amazing. I have enjoyed following you on this journey.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics Brenda! Bummer that someone painted the shell. I thought it was beautiful and rustic just the way it was. I had a tough time crossing into Portomarin with the bridge being so high...afterwards I had someone tell me that the old bridge (much lower) is still in use. Buen Camino!
